Services for William Aaron Lorenz will be 11 a.m. Monday at Eastport United Methodist Church, 926 Bay Ridge Avenue, Annapolis, Md. Burial will be private.
Friends may call at the church 5-7:30 p.m. Sunday.
He died Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at his home.
He was born Aug. 13, 1927, in Coshocton to Aaron and Ivy Lorenz. He married Joyce Chandler in 1951 and she survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Karen Karos of Annapolis, Md.; two grandsons, and a sister, Diann Souslin, of Coshocton.
During World War II, he served in Germany with the U.S. Army Adjutant General’s Office and was honorably discharged in 1947. In 1974, he obtained a bachelor of science degree from the University of Baltimore and then in 1978, he received a master of business administration degree from the University of Memphis.
He was an Industrial Traffic Manager for W. R. Grace Co. in Baltimore, Md., and Memphis, Tenn., for 40 years. After retiring from Grace in 1990, he joined the Tire Battery Corporation.
A member of Eastport United Methodist Church, he also volunteered at Eastport Elementary School.
