Mass of Christian Burial for James Burchard Carr will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 6899 Smokey Row Road, Columbus, by Father Justin Reis, Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Kenton.
Friends may call 5-8 p.m. at the Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High St. (1/2 mile south of I-270), where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
He died Thursday, April 3, 2008, at the Huntersville Oaks in North Carolina after an extended illness.
He was born in Tulsa, Okla., on Jan. 11, 1925, to Frank Burchard and Arline Ochs Carr.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Patricia Wylie Carr; his children, Kathryn (Bill) Vey, David (Becka) Carr and Michael (Julie) Carr; grandchildren, Kara, Kelly, Billy and Katie Vey, Wylie (Austen), Caitlin and Gavin Carr; and Elizabeth (Trevor) Wilson, Colby and Emily Carr; great-granddaughter, Payton Wilson; sister-in-law Suzanne Carr; and many loving nieces and nephews.
He served in the Army Air Corps in World War II. He graduated in 1950 from Purdue University with a degree in mechanical engineering and was a member of the Pi Tau Sigma honorary fraternity. He was the vice president and co-owner of Carr Equipment Company where he worked for over 41 years with his brother, William F. Carr, who predeceased him. He also was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Margaret Wylie Sibbitt.
He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather and loyal brother. His sense of humor was appreciated by all and is a gift he gave to each of us.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to Hospice at HPCCR, 1420 E. 7th St., Charlotte, NC 28204 or the American Heart Association, 5455 N. High St., Columbus 43214.

He died Friday, April 4, 2008, at his home in Ada.
He was born Nov. 12, 2007, in Bluffton to Thomas J. and Shirley (Conner) Farkasdi and they died April 4, 2008, with him in an early morning house fire along with his sisters, Jessica Marie and Tiffany Rene Farkasdi.
Surviving are two brothers, Micheal Conner of Ada and Christian Alexander Farkasdi of Wapakoneta; a sister, Brittney Conner of Ada; maternal grandparents, George and Rebecca Schultze of Ada; paternal grandmother, Jan M. Farkasdi of Findlay; five uncles, Anthony (Nicole) Farkasdi of Findlay, Paul David Conner of Lima, Brent D. Schultze of Ada, Mark E. (Darla) Meyer of Harrod and Matthew A. (Judy) Meyer of Lima; three aunts, Jennie (Jeff) Barger of Tiffin, Lori Bienz of Marion and Debra Bellomy of Lima and maternal great-grandmother, Mildred Parker of Kenton.

Farkasdi and he died Friday, April 4, 2008, with her in an early morning house fire, along with their three children, son, Jozsef William Farkasdi and their two daughters, Jessica Marie and Tiffany Rene Farkasdi.
Surviving are a son, Micheal Conner of Ada; a daughter, Brittney Conner of Ada; a stepson, Christian Alexander Farkasdi of Wapakoneta; two brothers, Paul David Conner of Lima and Brent D. Schultze of Ada; two foster brothers, Mark E. (Darla) Meyer of Harrod and Matthew A. (Judy) Meyer of Lima; two sisters, Lori Bienz of Marion and Debra Bellomy of Lima and a mother-in-law, Jan M. Farkasdi.
She was preceded in death by a father-in-law, Pastor Jozsef L. Farkasdi; paternal grandparents, George and Fannie Schultze and maternal grandparents, Ted and Golda Layman.
She was a homemaker and a 1993 graduate of Allen East High School.

He was born March 10, 1969, in Columbus to Pastor Jozsef L. and Jan M. (Parker) Farkasdi. His father preceded him in death on Dec. 21, 2000, and his mother survives in Findlay.
On Oct. 25, 2004, he married Shirley Conner and she died with him in an early morning house fire which also took the lives of their three children, son Jozsef William Farkasdi and two daughters, Jessica Marie and Tiffany Rene Farkasdi.
Surviving are a son, Christian Alexander of Wapakoneta; a stepson, Micheal Conner of Ada; a stepdaughter, Brittney Conner of Ada; a brother, Anthony (Nicole) Farkasdi of Findlay; a sister, Jennie (Jeff) Barger of Tiffin; maternal grandmother, Mildred Parker of Kenton and mother and father-in-law, George and Rebecca Schultze of Ada.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Noah Dale Farkasdi and his maternal grandfather, Lester C. Parker.
He worked at Taco Bell in Ada.
He was a member of his father's church, Maranatha Assembly of God Church in Wapakoneta. He was a 1998 graduate of Arcadia High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Gulf War from 1988 to 1992.

Services for Kenneth L. "Kenny" Lawrence will be 10 a.m. Monday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home in Alger by the Rev. Randall Wilson.
Friends may call 2-5 p.m. Sunday and until time of services Monday.
He died at 11:20 a.m. Friday, April 4, 2008, at Lima Memorial Health Center.
He was born Jan. 22, 1942, in Hardin County to Oliver and Norma Idorah (Johnson) Lawrence. On March 14, 1964, he married Barbara Klett and she survives in Harrod.
Also surviving is a brother, Marion (Madonna) Lawrence of Alger.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Loretta Donnal, Clara Johnson and Mary Cheney; two brothers, Albert and Delmar Lawrence and a stepfather, Forrest Donnal.
He recently retired from SRECO-Flexible after 40 years of service.
He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Alger and had been a lifelong resident of Harrod.
He loved fishing and going to the movies. His family and friends will cherish the memory of his love for life and his devotion and dependability to numerous friendships and lifelong relationships.

Services for Cecil H. Ross will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Church of God in Bellefontaine by Pastors Gary Brown, Ray Headings and Richard Cartwright. Burial will be in the Oakdale Cemetery in Marysville.
Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Price Funeral Home in Kenton.
He died at 3:15 a.m. Friday, April 4, 2008, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.
He was born Aug. 16, 1931, in Champaign County to Lewis and Susie (Jackson) Ross. On April 10, 1955, he married Marjorie Guy and she survives in Kenton.
Also surviving are two sons, Mark Allen Ross of Kenton and David A. (Rosemary) Ross of Wapakoneta; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild; two sisters, Betty Norviel of Middleburg and Joan Ross of Marysville.
He was preceded in death by a brother, James Ross.
He started his career working for United Board and Carton in Urbana, then Eljers Inc. in Marysville, Whirlpool in Marion and Wayne M. Post Industries in Columbus.
He worked for the Women's Correctional Institution in Marysville and retired from Meritor after working there for 27 years.
He attended the Church of the Nazarene in Kenton, Church of Christ in Christian Union in Bellefontaine and the First Church of God in Bellefontaine.
He was very active in the churches and played the organ. He was song leader, choir director and Sunday School superintendent.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Korean War from 1951-1955 on the LST 1134 Stark Co. Ship.
