Services for Leo W. Bowers will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Schindewolf Stevens Stout Funeral Home in Kenton by the Rev. William Koppert. Burial will be at Knollcrest Gardens in Arcadia.
Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Friday.
He died Monday, April 21, 2008, at his home.
He was born March 7, 1927, in Dunkirk to Orville “Hap” and Katherine Bowers. On May 23, 1954, he married Betty L. Riegle, who preceded him in death on Nov. 29, 1989.
Surviving are a daughter, Cindy Bowers of Jackson, Wyo., and two sons, Jeffrey Bowers of Kenton and Tom Bowers of Lancaster.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Hensel.
He was retired from the Ohio Power Company after working there from 1952 to 1989. He was also an usher at the Ohio State University football games.
He graduated from Dunkirk High School in 1945.
He had attended the First United Methodist Church in Kenton and was a member of the Kenton Elks 157 and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He moved to Kenton from Findlay in 1976.

Services for Russell “Rutt” Castle will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Kenton by Pastor Don Holbrook. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call 2-7 p.m. Thursday at Schindewolf Stevens Stout Funeral Home in Kenton and one hour prior to the service at the church.
He died at 6:35 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2008, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born Feb. 12, 1946, in Hardin County to Franzel and Virgie (Prater) Castle. On April 8, 1989, he married Loretta Hampton and she survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Kevin Castle and Keith (Kassie) Hurt, both of Kenton; four daughters, Kathy (Shawn) Allen of Ostrander, Kim Scott (Roger Frazier) of Kenton, Kim (Jeff) Butcher of Forest and Karin Ward (Tim Bennington) of Iron City, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren; four brothers, Bill Stephens of Alger, James (Vickie) Castle of Foraker, Frank (Becky) Castle of Harrod and Terry (Barb) Castle of Ada and nine sisters, Joyce (Howard) Stanley, Mable Wright, Linda (Butch) LaRue and Charlene (Doug) Karfit, all of Ada, Sadie (Alonzo) Allen of Dola and Lisa Castle (Shannon Vogleman) and Betty Warm-brod, both of Kenton.
He was preceded in death by a son, Kenny and a brother, Albert.
He retired from Clark Equipment in Lima.
He was an avid bass fisherman. He loved his family and God.

Services for LeVon (Oldham) Frantz will be 2 p.m. Friday at Bible Fellowship Church in Arlington by Pastor Jerry Kellogg. Burial will follow at Bishop Cemetery, Eagle Township.
Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday.
She died Monday, April 21, 2008, at The Heritage in Findlay.
She was born in Dunkirk to the late Lowell S. and Ada (Farmer) Oldham. She married Virgil Frantz on April 21, 1936, and he died in 1974.
Surviving her are a son, Lewis V. "Louie" (Deborah) Frantz of Findlay; a daughter, Diana (James) Zimmerman of Findlay; five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, two step great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson.
She was a longtime member of the Bible Fellowship Church, Arlington. She was a 1922 graduate of Dunkirk High School and a graduate of Bowling Green Normal School.
She began her teaching career at age 18 in Harrison County and also taught in Hancock County.
Memorials may be given to Bible Fellowship Church.

Upper Sandusky
Memorial services for Beatrix G. Zeigler will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the First Lutheran Church in Upper Sandusky by Pastor Julianne Smith. By her request her body has been donated to Ohio State University Department of Anatomical Study.
She died at 11:40 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2008, at the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Upper Sandusky.
She was born to the late Frank and Anna (Myers) Limbrecht on Jan. 12, 1912, in Wyandot County. She married Earl Zeigler on Feb. 25, 1929, and he preceded her in death on May 29, 1981.
Surviving are a son Thomas F. (Juanita) Zeigler, of Upper Sandusky, and nine grandchildren and a great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert E. Zeigler, who died on Oct. 1, 2007.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church for over 70 years, where she was member of the Ever Faithful Group of the church, First Lutheran Women.
She had cooked at the former Nick's Hamburger Shop and had been employed by the former Evergreen Restaurant and Motel, both in Upper Sandusky.
