Services for John Burton Patton will be 11:30 a.m. Monday at Crates Funeral Home, Arlington by Pastor Brett Kelly. Burial will be at the Arlington Cemetery.
Friends may call 1-4 p.m. Sunday.
He died at 1:02 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2008, at Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay.
He was born April 10, 1925, in Royalton, Ky., to Burton and Della (Marshall) Patton. On Nov. 16, 1944, he married Ester Castle and she died on July 6, 1980.
Surviving are two sons, Paul Patton of Findlay and David (Karen) Patton of Pahrump, Nev.; three daughters, Barbara (Tom) Holmes and Mary Lou (Richard) Fields, both of Findlay and Vicki (Tony) Brown of Forest; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter; a brother, Eugene (Annie) Patton of Findlay; and two sisters, Leona Pope of Ada and Omalee (Mitchell) Bailey of Lima.
He was a drag shovel operator for Pifers Stone Quarry in Arlington and a former member of the Findlay Amvets.
