Hackney
Larry E., 64
Kenton
Graveside services for Larry E. Hackney will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Grove Cemetery in Kenton. Military graveside services will be conducted by Amvets Post 1994 and a military memorial service will be conducted at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. Monday also by Amvets Post 1994.
Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Price Funeral Home in Kenton.
He died at 12:36 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2008 at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
He was born June 4, 1943 in Xenia to George E. and Lola Marie (Hammer) Hackney. In June, 1969, he married Jean Tomblin and she survives in Kenton.
Also surviving are three daughters, Sherry (Richie) Magann, Shelly (Donald) Hastings and Laura (Stan Paynter) Napier, all of Kenton; eight grandchildren, Tavia, Tiara and Ray Legge, Alicia Smith, Stephanie Hastings, Jenna Hackney, Katherine and Charles Napier; two great-grandchildren, Tatum Miller and Kylyne Anspache; two brothers, Richard Hackney of McConnelsville and David (Pat) Hackney of Labanon.
He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Hackney and a grandson, Brandon Castle.
He worked at Morton Buildings for a number of years and then was a self-employed carpenter.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wilmington and a member of the Amvets Post 1994, where he was a member of the honor guard.
He was a member of the Kenton Moose Lodge 428 and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.

Klingler

Ada
Services for Kent W. Klingler will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Woodlawn Cemetery Chapel in Ada by the Rev. Patrick Allen. Burial will be in Wodlawn Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
He died at 4:47 p.m. Friday, May 2, 2008 at his home in rural Ada.
He was born July 18, 1916 in Hardin County to Ernest P. and Ethel G. (Montgomery) Klingler. On June 15, 1936, he married Beverly Braitinger and she preceded him in death on Jan. 29, 1984.
Surviving are two sons, Charles Rex (Delores) Klingler of Ada and Bradley (Erin) Klingler of Bellbrook; a daughter, Karen (Roger) Griffin of Port Clinton; two sisters, Ruth Brown and Betty (Eugene) Crouse, both of Ada; ten grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Perry Russell Klingler.
He was a farmer and a lifetime resident of rural Ada He was a member of the Ada Presbyterian Church.
He was a 1935 graduate of Ada High School.

Pruden
Goldie M. (Clark), 96
Columbus
Services for Goldie M. (Clark) Pruden will be 10 a.m. Monday at Parkview United Methodist Church, 344 S. Algonquin Ave., Columbus by Pastor Patricia Cook. Interment will be in Sunset Cemetery.
Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Schoedinger Hilltop Chapel, 3030 W. Broad St., Columbus.
She died Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at Traditions at Mill Run.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Pruden and devoted friend of 19 years, Eugene “Gene” Glasco.
Surviving are a son, James W. (Sandy) Pruden; a daughter, Beverly (Fred) Kaiser; grandchildren, Kathy (John) Shumate, Karen (John) Seidenschmidt, Kim (Bob) Ousley, Kevin (Natalie) Pruden, Curtis (Brenda) Kaiser and Cindy (Phil) Freeman; great grandchildren, John (Karrie) Shumate Jr., Nicole (Erik) Cantu, Devonah, Kyle and Alexandra Kaiser, Brooke and John Steven Seidenschmidt, and Carter Freeman; sisters, Velva (Warren) Hiles and Ruth (Fred) Ety; former daughter-in-law, Shirley Pruden; “adopted family” Gary (Andra) Glasco and Bob (Delaine) Glasco; Connie (Glen) Gourley and Joyce (Gerry) Mortensen.
She was a 66-year member of Parkview United Methodist Church where she belonged to the United Methodist Women and the Young at Heart Club. She also taught Sunday School for over 20 years and was the superintendent of 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades. She was a former member of the OSU Mother’s Club, PTA, Canasta Card Club and Hilltop Historical Society.
She loved tatting hankies, sending cards, making phone calls, and watching church softball games with Gene. She was known for her collection of cardinals and angels.
Memorials can be made to the “Roof Repair Fund” at Parkview United Methodist Church in her memory.

Sauvage
JoAnn M., 75
Columbus
A mass for JoAnn M. Sauvage will be held Saturday, May 10 at Immaculate Conception Church in Kenton. Burial will follow.
Friends may call 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Road, Columbus. A memorial service will follow.
She died Monday, April 28, 2008.
Surviving are a daughter, Gayle (Bruce) Fabyan; grandchildren, Kyle, Talia, Abigail and Dylan; brothers, Thomas (Leanna), Bernard (Lois), James (Judy) and Andrew (Mary) Dick; sisters, Rosemary (David) Osheim and Theresa Fisher; former husband, Edward Sauvage; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents, Augustine J. and Mary Leona (Orians) Dick; and twin siblings, David and Rita Dick.
She retired from Whalen & Co. C.P.A after 25 years of dedicated service. She was an accomplished pianist who loved reading, knitting and crossword puzzles.

Services for Richard Watkins will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Price Funeral Home in Kenton. Burial will be in the Fairview McDonald Cemetery.

He died at 4:45 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2008 at the Corinthian Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Kenton.
He was born April 19, 1915 in Delaware to Arthur and May (Jones) Watkins. On June 18, 1936, he married Jane Martin and she preceded him in death Dec. 11, 1978.
Surviving are two sons, Richard M. “Bud” (Beth Lohr) Watkins of Md. and William A. “Bill” Watkins of McDonald Township; five grandchildren, Ashley Lynn (Darren) Watkins-McDowell of Austin, Texas, Lindsey Elizabeth (Dave) Watkings-Beran and Courtney Ann (David) Watkins-Wilkinson, Katherine Elizabeth Watkins and Lucretia Alexandra “Allie” Watkins, all of Dallas, Texas; three great-grandchildren, Maura Grace McDowell, Haley Elise Wilkinson and Mason Patrick McDowell.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Warren Arthur Watkins.
He was a farmer and raised cattle.
He, along with W.A. Martin, his father-in- law, developed and instituted the first automative cattle feeding operation in northern Ohio.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
