Lima
Services for David S. Dick will be 2 p.m. Friday at Lewis Eastside Chapel Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Lima, by Pastor Gregg King. Military rites will be conducted by VFW Post 1275, Lima. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.
Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today.
He died at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.
He was born Dec. 17, 1945, in Kenton to Stephen Edwards and Dorothy Kay Rush Dick and they are deceased. He first married Glenna Rae Watkins on July 13, 1965, and she survives in Kenton. He later married Kristin Jo Wilcox on Oct. 21, 1989, and she survives in Lima.
Also surviving are two sons, Stephen Glenn (Stacy) Dick of Lima and David C. Dick of Alger; a daughter, Michelle R. (Rob) Shemeth of Kenton; five brothers, Neil Davidson of Pennsylvania, Carl Edward Davidson of Florida, Eugene (Janice) Dick of Lima, Iran L. (Vicki) Dick of Kenton and Charles (Rita) Dick of Dola; two sisters, Rose Rose of Quincy and Caroline (George) Heise of Cridersville; and grandchildren, Stephen G. Dick Jr., Austin J. Dick, Robert P.W. Shemeth, Shan’Tona I. Randall, Kelsey M. Randall, Emma Rose Dick, Lilly Rae Dick, Miranda E. Sacks and Alex Newland.
He retired in 1997 after 30 years as a machine operator at Rockwell International, Kenton. He was a Spec. 4 Army veteran of Vietnam, serving 1966-1967. On Oct. 7, 1966, he was awarded the Purple Heart.
He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kenton and a lifetime member of VFW Post 3333, Eagles 2163, the Moose and Amvets Post 20, all of Kenton.
He loved fishing, hunting and bowling. Most of all, he looked forward to spending time with his grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kristin J. Dick, c/o Home Savings and Loan, Kenton.

Services for Jeanette A. Gault-Coakley will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home in Carey by Pastor Joe Carney. Burial will follow in the Wharton-Richland Union Cemetery, Wharton.
Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday.
She died at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2008, in the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay.
She was born Aug. 14, 1925, in Bloomville to Roy and Alfrieda (Shock) Fatzinger. They preceded her in death. She married Nelson E. Gault on Nov. 24, 1945, and he preceded her in death on June 19, 1987. She then married George H. Coakley on May 16, 1993, and he survives in Carey.
Also surviving are four children, Shirley (Doug) Aukerman of Findlay, Peggy (Eddie) Fisher of Mount Cory, Leonard (Dawn) Gault of Findlay and Tom (Pat) Gault of Mt. Blanchard; five stepchildren, Barbara (Jack) Flaherty of Taylor, Mich., Joyce (Dick) Smiley of Carey, Suzanne (Norman) Beekman of Lucasville, Howard (Linda) Coakley of Mississippi and David Coakley of Tennessee; two brothers, Harold Fatzinger of Tiffin and Eugene (Lucille) Fatzinger of Bloomville; three sisters, Rose (Robert) Ritter of California, Edna Armstrong of Nevada, Ohio, and Helen (Richard) Lyons of Huron; a sister in-law, Annabelle Fatzinger of Tiffin; 14 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild, 22 step-grandchildren, 27 step-great-grandchildren and 14 step-great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a stepson, Eddie Coakley; an infant step son, George Richard Coakley; two brothers, Kenneth and Paul Fatzinger and a sister, Grace Riedel.
She retired from Westinghouse Corp., Upper Sandusky, in 1985 after 20 years of employment. She was a member of the Wharton First Church of God in Wharton.
