Services for Vernon E. Clinger will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Clark Shields Funeral Home in Forest by Pastor Steve Umphress. Burial will be in Hueston Cemetery, Forest.
Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Friday.
He died at 7:25 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2008, at the Fox Run Manor in Findlay.
He was born March 2, 1924, in Jackson Township, Wyandot County to Harry and Rutha (Fink) Clinger. On Aug. 22, 1945, he married Blanche E. Wilson and she survives in Findlay.
Also surviving are two sons, Ronald (Joyce) Clinger of Warsaw, Ind., and Donald (Debra) Clinger of Fairfield; four grandchildren; three brothers, Elmer Clinger and Harry (Linda) Clinger Jr., both of Forest and Everett (Wanda) Clinger of Kenton.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ivan Clinger and a sister, Donna Kniesley.
He was a member of Blanchard River Church of Christ near Dunkirk. He was a retired Jackson Township (Hardin County) farmer.

Services for Paul Dean Howard will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home in Findlay by the Rev. Paul Canen. Burial will be in the Lee Cemetery, Amanda Township, Hancock County.
Friends may call 3-9 p.m. Friday.
He died Sunday, May 25, 2008 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg.
He was born April 13, 1941, to Miller R. and Gertrude I. (Van Horn) Howard.
Surviving are two brothers, David (Shirley) Howard of Kenton and Darrel Howard of Perrysburg; and a sister, Sara (Everett) Prewitt of Kansas City, Mo.
He was a 1959 graduate of Mount Blanchard High School. After graduating from DeVry Technical Institute he was with Honeywell Corp. for almost 30 years as a computer technician. He lived and worked in Stone Mountain, Ga., for most of his career. Previous to retirement he worked for C.R. Bard Inc. of Covington, Ga.
He was a lifetime member of the Church of the Nazarene.

Military services for Robert A. Taylor will be at a later date at St. Mary's Cemetery in Kenton.
Friends may call 2-7 p.m. Friday at the Schindewolf Stevens Stout Funeral Home in Kenton.
He passed at 3:48 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2008, at the Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay.
He was the son of Leo Edwin and Mildred (Weidinger) Taylor and they are deceased. He married Connie Snyder in 1966 and they were divorced. He then married Rose Pope on Sept. 15, 1973, and she survives in Findlay.
Also surviving are two daughters, Cherie' Pratt of Forest and Brandy (James) Kinder of Arkansas; nine grandchildren; four brothers, Jerry, Donald and Paul (Paula) Taylor, all of Kenton and Charles (Elaine) Taylor of Michigan and a sister, Linda (Rodney) McBride of Forest.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Tom and Steven Taylor and a sister, Sharon Fox.
He attended Kenton Senior High School and in 1965 he joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany.
He was a member of the Mingo tribe and was retired from Meritor in Kenton.
He enjoyed the outdoors and Native ways.
Memorials may be made to the Hardin County Cancer and Heart Association or the Blanchard Valley Dialysis Center in Findlay.
