A private family visitation for Patricia Mae Newman will be held Friday at Schindewolf-Stout-Crates Funeral Home, Kenton. Burial will be at a later date as it was Patricia’s wish to be cremated.
She died at 9:58 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014 at the Bridge Hospice Center in Findlay.
She was born May 27, 1937 in Kenton to the late Fred P. Murdock and Bertha Durkin. On June 23, 1956 she married Mack Newman who survives in Dunkirk.
Also surviving are a daughter, Debra S. (Donn N.) Houser of Kenton; a son, Steve (Ellen) Newman of St. Louis, Mo.; three sisters, June Wright of Kenton, Kate Hoffman of Dunkirk and Charlene (Don) Collins of Kenton; grandchildren, Emily Newman, Sam Newman, Isabel Newman, Mary Rose Newman, Ashleigh (Bob) Burd, Adam Houser and Allison Houser; a sister-in-law, Marie Murdock of Lakeview and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert, Hobert, Lewis and Floyd Murdock; a sister, Virginia Kraft; two sisters-in-law, Alice Murdock and Edith Murdock; and three brothers-in-law, Paul Kraft, Albert Wright and Vernon Hoffman.
Patricia was a homemaker.
