Rosa E. “Rosie”, 91
McGuffey
Services for Rosa E. “Rosie” Rolston will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the McGuffey Church of Christ by Pastor Thomas Kahley. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery in Alger.
Friends may call 5-8 p.m. today at the Hanson-Neely Funeral Home in Alger and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
She died at 3:50 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2012 at the Mennonite Memorial Home in Bluffton.
She was born March 17, 1921 in Ross County to Glenn and Grace (Wilson) Bowdle. On July 4, 1943, she married Raymond D. “Whitie” Rolston and he preceded her in death on Oct. 19, 1973.
Surviving are two sons, Keith (Marsha) Rolston of Findlay and Daniel (Lisa) Rolston of Louisville, Ky.; three daughters, Claribelle (Philip) Stalder of Kenton, Beverly (Pat) Collingsworth of Alger and Barbara (Randy) Hopkins of Belle Center; 15 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, two infant brothers and two sisters, Bernadine Wilson and Ollie Williams.
She retired after 20 years of working for the U.S. Postal Service.
She was a member of the McGuffey Church of Christ.
