A celebration of life    service for TruDee         Diane Chatfield Barnett    will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday   by Pastor Jason Manns. Those wishing to attend should contact the family for the location. At her request, she is being cremated.
She died at 5:25 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2012 from heart disease at the Ross Heart Medical Center in Columbus. She was the twelfth child of Ezra and Mildred (Tingley) Chatfield and was born Nov. 3, 1950 in Jackson, Mich.
Surviving are her husband of 43 years, Richard; two sons, Richard Lee (Amber) Barnett and Chad Rick Barnett, both of Kenton; two grandsons, Joey Lee Barnett and Alexander Douglas Barnett; a granddaughter, Ceirra Montana Barnett; two step-grandchildren, Brandon and Elizabeth; three sisters, Gerrie (Rich) Miles of Grass Lake, Mich., Sally Hyden of Munith, Mich., and Kathy Verrier of Pessac Sur Dordogene, France; and two brothers, Dale Edgar (Kay) Chatfield  and Danny Chatfield, both of Jackson, Mich.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Ralph, Max, Ray and Jimmie Chatfield; three sisters, Lila Trine, Ellen Weese and Arlene Morton; a niece, Candance Lee Chatfield   and a nephew, Everett Weese.
She was educated in East Jackson schools. At the age of 16 she began her career as a nursing assistant at Mercy Hospital.
In December of 1971, she moved with her husband and sons to Ohio. She was further educated at Lima Technical College. She was a teacher’s assistant for the handicapped and an      activity director in long term care.
TruDee enjoyed camping, crafts, surfing on the Internet and researching Chatfield genealogy.
She loved her family and a challenge.
Price Funeral Home of Kenton is handling the arrangements.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s or a charity of donor’s choice.
