ADA — Four people were transported to Lima Memorial Hospital following a crash on Ohio 235 Saturday morning.
According to a release from Hancock County Sheriff Michael Heldman, a vehicle driven by Michael Theis, 55, of McComb, was traveling north on Ohio 235 when he attempted to pass a pickup truck driven by Shawn Moore, 49, of Ada.
As the Theis vehicle moved into the left lane, Moore turned left onto County Road 1 and struck Theis on the passenger’s side. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage, according to the report and were towed from the scene by John’s Towing.
Moore and a passenger, Karen Moore, 51, of Ada were transported to Lima Memorial by Ada/Liberty EMS for possible injuries.
Two passengers, Shelly Theis, 47 and Christina Moore, both of McComb, were taken by Ada/Liberty EMS to Lima Memorial.
Michael Theis was cited for a violation of rules governing overtaking and passing.
The Ada Fire Department also assisted the sheriff’s office at the scene.
