Ellen L. Pennington, 210 Stevens St., was traveling west on Decatur Street and attempting to pass Billy J. Bethel Jr., Lakeview. Bethel Jr., who was driving a John Deere front-end loader, had started to make a left turn onto Dixon Street when the bucket on the vehicle struck Pennington’s vehicle.
Employees at Walmart, 1241 E. Columbus St., were moving money bags in a shopping cart near the front of the store when an unidentified man came up to the employee pushing the cart, he removed the worker’s hand away from the money bags and took one of them. The man then ran out of the store and left the area in a van.
The staff at Walmart reported receiving several counterfeit bills from a known suspect.
An employee at Taco    Bell, 914 E. Columbus St., reported receiving a counterfeit $5 bill from a known suspect.
A breaking and entering and the theft of cash, checks and a lock box were reported at Hillcrest Lanes, 1001 W. Lima St.
Employees at Harco Industries, 705 N. Ida St., reported that sometime during the weekend, someone removed all the recyclables from the bins without permission.
A suspicious vehicle was reported parked near Espy Elementary School.
Two suspicious males were reported who left the Kroger parking lot and went to Kmart.
A suspicious male was reported in the area of 325 W. North St.
