Deputies were dispatched to the intersection of County Road 60 and Township Road 35 for a report of an injury accident, one of the vehicles being a stolen vehicle. On arrival, a known male that was driving the stolen vehicle was lying in the middle of the roadway. The vehicle’s owner, Gregory K. Shepherd, 6978 Ohio 195, Alger, reported the known male had stolen the truck from his cousin’s driveway at 1013 N. Front St., Alger. According to Shepherd, after following his vehicle with his cousin, they pulled in front of it to try to get it to stop but the driver drove through the Alger Assembly of God’s Church lawn and went around them. They then followed the suspect out of town where he attempted to go through the intersection but struck another vehicle driven by Amy Blackmon, who was transported to Lima Memorial Hospital, as was the suspect.
