Three people injured in two-vehicle crash

ADA — Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Friday morning at the intersection of the Ohio 309 and 235, south of Ada.
Michelle Mclane, 19 of Ada, was taken by LifeFlight helicopter to St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, according to a report from the Findlay post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol. A report on her condition was not available Friday night.
Two passengers in the other vehicle involved in the crash – Nicole Dixon, 23 and Michael Dixon, 25, both of Kenton – were transported to Lima Memorial Hospital for treatment. A report on their conditions was not available.
According to the report from the patrol, the 1998 Mercedes driven by Mclane was southbound on Ohio 235 and failed to yield at the stop sign at Ohio 309, when it was struck by an eastbound 1995 Dodge pickup driven by Thomas Donaldson, 22 of Continental, at about 11:03 a.m.
Mclane’s vehicle went off the southeast side of the intersection, struck multiple signs and rolled over. She was pinned in the vehicle, according to the report.
Donaldson’s truck went off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole.
Mclane was cited by the patrol for failure to yield and the accident remains under investigation.
The patrol was assisted at the scene by Ada and Alger fire and EMS, the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, Osborn’s Towing and Fender Benders.
