Patti McCune had several winning entries in the antique show at the 2013 Hardin County Fair. They included and egg cup, which won a grand championship honor, a China tray, which also was a grand champion and a lace handkerchief, which was selected as a reserve champion.
Don Traxler, Ada, captured the top honors in the antique toy contest at the fair with a wheelbarrow made by his father in 1936. Lonnie Arnold, Ridgeway, won a reserve championship with his 1903 cast iron train.
Jim Candler, Ridgeway, earned a first place with his paperweight in the antique competition. Judy Williams, Ada, was awarded second place with her yard stick entry.
Judi Candler, Ridgeway, won a grand champion title with her glassware entry in the antique show. Vonna Chamberlain, Mount Victory, snagged a reserve championship rosette for her China entry.
Sandy Dickson, Kenton, earned a reserve championship honor for her metronome in the antique show while Rowe Garmon’s steering knob also won reserve honors.
Tabby Richards, Kenton, won a grand championship honor with her handfan entry in the antique show. Lauri Middleton, Kenton, captured a top honor for her eyeglass chain in the competition.
Best of show
Amanda Murphy, Kenton, won the best of show honors at the 2013 Hardin County Fair antique show with a mandolin with case which was owned by her great-grandfather.
