Area veterans help to open the county fair

Veterans from five wars presented the colors to begin the Hardin County Fair Tuesday afternoon. They included (from left) Iraq veteran Josh Castle, Desert Storm veteran Ron Marvin, Vietnam vet Ron Black, Korea War veteran Howard Shepherd and World War II vet Stanley Spath.

World War II veteran Everett Bushong of Dunkirk stands at attention as the National Anthem is played for the opening of the fair. Veterans from throughout the county took part in the opening ceremonies.
