Awards given for junior fair rabbits

The Junior Fair Rabbit Show was held on Wednesday at the Hardin County Fair.

Senior showmanship

Taylor Brown of the Hardin Northern FFA was the top senior showman during the junior fair rabbit show at the Hardin County Fair on Wednesday. Taylor is the son of Donald and Kristine Brown of Kenton.

Champion fryer

Hannah Lackey showed the grand champion fryer during the junior fair rabbit show Wednesday. A member of Hare Raisers 4-H, Hannah is the daughter of Amy Lackey and Richard Lackey of Kenton.

Mara France of Country Timers 4-H won the intermediate showmanship division and showed the grand champion fancy buck during the junior fair rabbit show on Wednesday. Mara is the daughter of Brandon and Mandy France of Ridgeway.

Reserve commercial doe

Olivia Guyton of the Ada FFA showed the reserve champion commercial doe during the junior fair rabbit show on Wednesday. Olivia is the daughter of Steve Guyton of Ada and Christine Carallaro of Alger.

Cami Lowery of Country Timers 4-H won first place in the junior showmanship category of the junior fair rabbit show. Cami is the daughter of Ron and Cathy Lowery of Kenton.

Cami Lowery of Country Timers 4-H took home trophies for best in show overall and grand champion commercial doe during the junior fair rabbit show on Wednesday. Cami is the daughter of Ron and Cathy Lowery of Kenton.

Justin Smith was the reserve champion best of show overall and also showed the champion doe fancy during the junior fair rabbit show on Wednesday. Justin, a member of the Hare Raisers 4-H, is the son of Crystal Adams of LaRue and Robin Smith of Kenton.

First place in the beginner showmanship category and the best fitted and groomed rabbit was shown by Lily James during the junior fair rabbit show on Wednesday. Lily, a member of the Country Timers 4-H, is the daughter of Chris and Staci James of Ridgeway.

Jared Hunt of Alger Junior Farmers 4-H showed the champion commercial buck during the junior fair rabbit show on Thursday. Jared is the son of John and Lori Hunt of Alger.

Miguel Jordan of the Liberty Belles and Boys 4-H showed the grand champion pen of 3 meat rabbits during the junior fair rabbit show. Miguel is the son of Dustin and Jessica Jordan of Ada.

Shaye Creamer’s pen of three rabbits was named the reserve champions in the 2013 Hardin County rabbit show. Shaye also won the reserve champion commercial single fryer and reserve champion buck. She is the daughter of Shaun and Sandra Creamer of Mount Victory and a member of the Country Timers 4-H club.
