Exhibitors showcased their talents and creations at the 2012 Hardin County Fair.

Sydney Albert of Kenton with Joey captured first place in the novice B category of the obedience competition at the 4-H Dog Show. She is a member of Hardin County Tailwaggers and the daughter of Amy Albert and the late Jay Albert.

Emily Brown received first place in sub novice B showmanship at the 4-H Dog Show. She is a member of Pawsitive Attitude and the daughter of Mike and Amyial Brown of Alger.

Reserve honors

Forrest McCune, Kenton, brought a reserve champion antique glass in the annual show at the county fair. Vern Woodruff’s China plate also won a reserve title. His mom, Carla, hods it for him. They are from Kenton.

Before the grand and reserve champion market beef animals were named at the fair on Sept. 6, three youth were recognized in their age divisons as Premier Exhibitors. Winning this Submitted photo year were (from left) Youth Exhibitor, Kolby Wilcox; Intermediate Exhibitor, Taylor Cronley and Senior Exhibitor, Austin Eibling. Each of the winners received an embroidered blanket and cash prize from the Hardin County Cattle Producers.

Susan Bailey, Alger, caught the judge’s eye with her artistic skills. Her portrait was named a grand champion and the holiday painting she created brought her a reserve championship.

Issac Spar, Ada, earned a grand championship rosette in the elementary division of the fine art competition with his ceramic entry. Aaron Spar, won a woodworking reserve championship in the high school category.

Luke Wilson took home two championship rosettes in the flower show of the Hardin County Fair. He won for junior horticulturist and also for artistic design. His mom, Darlene, earned Best of Show honors with her artistic design.

Leif Trachsel, Dola, earned a reserve rosette with his color photograph in the elementary fine arts show.

Faith Ann Holbrook, Waynesfield, earned a grand championship title with her scrapbook in the arts and craft show’s youth division.

Melanie Butterfield, Harrod, won a grand championship rosette for her hand-formed entry in the middle school ceramic contest. Jacob Butterfield won the reserve honor in the ceramic contest of the elementary contest.

Faith Ann Holbrook, Waynesfield, won a grand championship with her recycled objects in the middle school category. She also won a reserve championship with her tole painted creation.

Lily James, Ridgeway, won the 7-8 category in the “It’s A Great Pumpkin” decorating contest.

Catlin Pauley, Kenton, secured a grand championship in the crafts division of the high school category. Her decorated picture won reserve honors in the show.

Libby Kearns, Kenton, won a grand champion award in the elementary division of the fine arts show with her tole painting. Lindi Taylor, Kenton, won a reserve rosette in the middle school ceramic contest with her figurine.

Kelsey Flowers, Kenton, brought home a championship in the middle school class with her collage. Alexis Elliott’s photography portrait also won a rosette in the middle school contest. Elliott lives in Mount Victory.
