May crowning

Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Kenton held its annual May Crowning on Tuesday evening, May 2. Father Anthony Dinovo, pastor, present at the Liturgy of the Word. Two of the Parish School of Religion youth were the crown bearers and their names were not provided. They placed crowns on the heads of the statue, one on the head of the Christ Child and the other on the head of his Blessed Mother, Mary. It is the tradition of the Catholic Church to honor Mary during May as the Mother of Jesus, Mother of the Church, Queen of Heaven and model disciple to all Christians.
