Isaac Davis brought the born and raised market goat champion for the 2012 Hardin County Fair. He is a member of the Hootenannies 4-H club and the son of Ernie and Amy Davis.

The reserve champion of the born and raised division of the goat show was the entry of Sara Morris. Her parents are Jeff and Patty Morris and she is a student at Hardin Northern. She is a member of the Blanchard Pleasant Buckeyes.

Mary Ann James of Kenton took top honors in the glassware class at the antiques show with a small perfume bottle.

Sandy Dickson of Kenton holds a sugar bowl which earned her grand champion honors in the china category during the antiques show at the Hardin County Fair.

Susan Leeth of Dunkirk received the grand championship rosette in kitchen items at the antiques show for her meat platter.

Talented brothers

Matthew Weaver’s handcrafted wooden bow won a grand championship in the fine arts contest during the middle school division. His brother, Brady, won top honors in the woodworking contest with the bench he created. The boys are from Kenton.

Pork chops dish

The Pork Producers sponsored the Wednesday dish day which featured pork chops. The first place winner was Thelma Musselman, who entered a dish called On The Farm Dinner. Second place went to Lori Paul with a pork chop marsala. The pork chops and saurkraut from Jennifer Richards won third place honors and Jackie James’s Red Ribbon Cranberry Pork Chops came in fourth place of the ten entries.
