Winners showcase their talents at the 2012 Hardin County Fair.

Double winner
Diana Roll, Kenton, brought home a reserve championship rosette for the Christmas lamp she entered in the fine arts competition at the fair. Her Americana tole painting resulted in a grand championship.

Valued picture
Linda Martell, Kenton, stands with an antique photograph she entered in the Hardin County Fair. Her effort resulted in a reserve championship.

Antique padlock
Ann Morris, Kenton, earned a championship title in the antique portion of the Hardin County Fair with a padlock entry.

Popular photo
The judge liked the entry of Grant Hites in the high school art show. His photo of flowers earned Hites a reserve championship.

Baby dress
Evelyn VanBuskirk, Kenton, won a grand championship title with the crocheted baby garment in the arts and crafts contest.

Judge’s favorite
Beth Hoag, Forest, brought a grand championship title home with her entry in the adult photography division.

Scenery winner
May Parker, Ridgeway, earned a championship in the photography division of the middle school fine art contest with her scenery entry.

Beef stew
Friday’s dish day theme was Beef Stew. First place went to Irene Beazley for her Old Fashioned Beef Stew creation. Marjorie Cannode’s Classic Beef Stew captured second place. Thelma Musselman took home third place with a recipe called Autumn Beef Stew With Apples, Onions and Garlic. Gloria Dulin’s Beef-N-Mushroom Cobbler was named the fourth place winner.
