Senior citizens celebration slated

“Memories of Elvis” is the theme of a program to celebrate Senior Citizens Month. Sponsored by the Hardin County Council on Aging, it will be held Friday, May 18 in the Community Building at the Hardin County Fairgrounds.
Activities will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the recognition of the Senior Citizen of the Year and Volunteer of the Year award.
At 11 a.m., Elvis impersonator Mike Albert of Columbus will present “Memories of Elvis.” People can get their picture taken with “Elvis” after the program, compliments of Wal-Mart.
Invocation will be offered at 12:30 p.m., followed by the serving of lunch. The menu will consist of Elvis’ favorite foods and be catered by the Plaza Inn Restaurant.
The cost of the dinner and show is $7 per person for those age 60 and older, and $15 for those younger than age 60. Tickets must be purchased by May 15 at the Council on Aging, 100 Memorial Ave., Kenton. No tickets will be sold at the door.
