MOUNT BLANCHARD — The season got off to a rough start for the Riverdale boys soccer team on Saturday as Archbold ripped the Falcons 7-0 in a non-league matchup.
The visiting Blue Streaks, who tallied four goals in the first half, received four goals and an assist from Brodie Nofziger on the way to the easy win.
Archbold held a 13-5 shooting advantage in the game. Riverdale keeper Jimmy Fox had 6 saves.
Things don’t get any easier for the Falcons as they start a string of six straight road games against Ottoville on Wednesday.
