URBANA — The Benjamin Logan varsity volleyball team came away from Urbana with a four-game victory Tuesday evening, winning by the scores of 27-25, 25-18, 21-25, 25-20.
The Raiders improve to 11-0 overall and 5-0 in the Central Buckeye Conference.
The team was fueled by a balanced attack as Ciarra Wirick had 10 kills, 5 aces and 11 digs; Alex Thompson recorded 9 kills and 2 solo blocks and Kylee Smith added 7 kills.
The JV Lady Raiders fell to Urbana in consecutive sets. Their record falls to 9-2 overall. For the Raiders, Madison Mahan recorded 5 kills, Katie Bisel had 4 kills and Tayler Rose dished out 8 assists.
The freshmen Raiders lost to Urbana in straight sets 25-23, 25-17. Autumn Walborn had 4 kills, 1 block and 3 aces, Aubree Durnell came up with 7 digs and Jessie Griffin had 1 ace and 1 dig.
The Raiders travel to Tippecanoe on Thursday. The freshman match starts at 4:30 p.m.
