Bulldog golfers finish sixth at NWC tourney

LIMA — The Ada golf team was sixth of 10 teams at the Northwest Conference golf meet on Thursday afternoon at Hawthorne Hills.
The Bulldogs, led by Slate Downing’s 18-hole round of 82, shot a 394 as a team. Connor English added a 97, Alex Nichelson a 106 and Austin Dysert a 109.
Also for Ada, Zach Park shot a 117 and Allen Jenkins shot a 119.
LCC won the meet with a team score of 307 and Thunderbird golfer Josh Klaus shot a 75 to earn medalist honors.
Ada coach Mike Badertscher was voted as coach of the year by his fellow league coaches.
