The annual golf scramble to benefit Hardin County Hospice is scheduled for Aug. 3 at Veterans Memorial Park Golf Club in Kenton.
The two-person handicap scramble will kick off at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start. The cost is $55 for a non-member and less for members. The first-place team will win $500. The prize for second place is $300, $200 for third place, $100 for fourth and fifth and $50 for sixth place.
There is a limit of 100 players and the registration deadline is Aug. 1. Interested people can register at www.hardincountyhospice.org/golf.
There is also a $10,000 hole-in-one prize. Raffle and 50/50 tickets will be sold prior to the shotgun start.
There are opportunities to contribute to the event by becoming a sponsor. With a donation of $150, a professionally printed sign with the sponsor’s name or business name will be posted at a tee box or green. That sponsorship also enters one representative to play in the scramble.
With a donation of $40, a placard with the sponsor’s name or business name will be posted on a golf cart.
Community members and businesses can also donate a prize for the raffle. Items can be dropped off at the Hospice office or they can be picked up. Call 419-673-1897 to donate or for more information.
