Kenton football sets parents’ meeting, summer camps Posted on May 26, 2016 0 There will be a parents meeting for any Kenton High School student interested in playing football at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the high school cafeteria. The Kenton High School summer football camp will be held in three sessions between June 1-9 at the practice field behind the athletic building. Session I for students entering grades 9-12 will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. June 1; session II for students going into grades 7 and 8 will be from noon to 3 p.m. June 6-8 and session III for students entering grades 1-6 will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 6-9. The objective of the camp is to teach and develop proper football techniques. Campers will be introduced to drills to improve their speed, strength, agility and power. A major emphasis of the non-contact camp will be fundamentals and proper techniques for offense, defense and the kicking game. A heavy emphasis will be on the passing game. Each participant will receive a camp T-shirt, along with a lunch each day. The cost of the camp is $30. Registration forms may be picked up at the high school office or those wishing to participate also may sign up the day of the camp.
