Kings open season by splitting twinbill

OTTAWA — The Kenton Kings opened up the 2012 season on Sunday by splitting a doubleheader with the Ottawa Legion, winning the opener 5-0 and dropping the nightcap 6-5.
In the first game, Addison Wolf tossed a 4-hit shutout for the Kings Brandon Pickett and Tony George contributed 2 hits each, while Cody Roberts added a double.
In the second game, Kevin Bockroth blasted a walk-off homer to give Ottawa the split.
The Kings return to action on June 19th with a doubleheader at Tiffin.
