Kings split twinbill

LIMA — The Kenton Kings split a doubleheader with the Lima Buckeyes on Sunday, dropping the first game 3-2 before pulling out a 6-5 victory in game two.
The Buckeyes pushed across two unearned runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to defeat Kings in game one. Tony George took the loss for the Kings, despite throwing a three-hitter.
In game two, Kyle Strawn of Adrian College smacked a solo home run in the top of the seventh as the Kings handed the Buckeyes just their second loss of the season.
The Kings return to action today with a doubleheader in Tiffin.
