Lady Raiders advance

BELLEFONTAINE — Host Ben Logan scored in all four innings it batted on the way to a 14-1 win over Trotwood Madison in a Division II softball sectional contest on Tuesday afternoon.
The Raiders, who received two hits and three RBIs from Brooklyn Terrill, took a 3-0 lead after one inning before scoring two in the second and seven more times in the third on the way to the win.
The Raiders, 21-5 on the season, will host Springfield Northwestern in the second round of sectional play on Thursday.
Also for Ben Logan, Sierra Cronkleton added a double and two RBIs and Courtney Stewart had three hits with a double and an RBI.
Sydney Evans added a triple and Jessie Dodson chipped in with a single.
Taylor Quay had an RBI.
Stewart pitched the first three innings to earn the win for the Raiders, allowing one hit and striking out five batters. Dodson hurled the last two frames.
