DOLA — Hardin Northern’s woes continued Friday night as the Polar Bears were held scoreless against McComb, falling 61-0 to the Panthers in a Blanchard Valley Conference game.
Trailing 14-0 nearing the end of the first quarter, the Polar Bears were unable to keep the Panthers off the scoreboard as the visitors added a touchdown on the ground just before end of the quarter. At the end of the half, Hardin Northern found itself down 35-0.
McComb continued its offensive attack by taking the ball in four more times in the second half to take the 61-0 win.
Brock Spearman led the Polar Bears on the ground with 37 yards on 12 carries and added 14 yards through the air on two catches. Quarterback Cole Gossard was 2-of-3 through the air with 14 yards passing.
