Raider boys suffer CBC loss to Shawnee

BELLEFONTAINE — The Benjamin Logan boys soccer team lost 3-1 at home to Shawnee Wednesday night.
Shawnee struck just one minute into the game but Ben Logan came back with a goal when Timon Mannings scored off a Bryce Gray cross to make it 1-1 at the half.
The Braves broke the tie when they scored with 22 minutes remaining and then again on a PK with just 1:30 left to play. Ben Logan drops to 2-8.
“This was a much better game for us,” Ben Logan coach Jamie Hughes said. “We are still making mistakes that cost us goals, but our focus must be to not make those mistakes again. That is all part of the learning process and we have learned a lot this year so far.”
There were times in which we played very well tonight, and we did score our first league goal, but to win we need to sustain that for 80 minutes.”
