Ben Logan’s Caleb Titus hands off to Dylan McGarry during the 800 relay in Division II regional track competition in Dayton on Saturday. The Raiders were fifth in the race.
The Benjamin Logan boys 400 and 800 relay teams were not able to make it back to Columbus this spring, finishing fifth in both events at the Division II regional meet in Dayton on Saturday.
In the 800 relay, Caleb Titus, Zak Wirick, Colbyn Terrill and Dylan McGarry ran a 1:30.78.
Dayton Dunbar won the event in 1:27.32, followed by Dayton Thurgood Marshall (1:28.45), Columbus Bexley (1:29.02) and Dayton Meadowdale (1:29.97).
In the 400 relay, Titus, Wirick, Jeremy Brison and Terrill were fifth in 43.92 seconds. North College Hill won the race in 42.92 seconds.
McGarry was not able to advance in the high jump, finishing in an eighth place tie with a leap of 6-0. Columbus Bishop Watterson’s Joe Mankovecky won the event with a leap of 6-7.
In the girls finals, Ben Logan’s Monica Mannings was eighth in the 100 dash in 12.89 seconds, while Madison Leis cleared 9-0 in the pole vault to finish tied for sixth.
