RIDGEWAY — Riverside rallied after dropping the first game to defeat Ridgemont 20-25, 25-23, 28-26, 25-12 in a Northwest Central Conference volleyball matchup on Thursday night.
Whitney Arseneau was 16 of 21 hitting with 6 kills, 13 of 16 serving with 2 aces, had 14 digs and was 18 of 21 on serve receive to lead the Gophers.
Toshia VanBuskirk was 17 of 18 hitting with 5 kills, 7 digs and was 15 of 19 on serve receive and Amber Creviston was 12 of 12 serving with an ace, 16 digs and was 18 of 23 on serve receive.
Logan Hill was 41 of 44 setting, 10 of 11 serving with an ace and 5 digs; Sam Hardin was 25 of 26 setting, 11 of 12 serving with 2 aces and recorded 4 digs; Riley Drumm was 17 of 21 hitting with 6 kills, 8 of 11 serving with an ace and had 7 digs and Bailey Wagner was 13 of 19 hitting with 2 kills.
Ridgemont won the junior varsity match 25-19, 25-22. Aslinn McCullough was 9 of 10 serving with 4 aces and 2 kills; Hanna Organ was 3 of 4 serving with 2 aces, had 2 kills and a block and Meyghan Crates was 7 of 7 serving with 2 aces.
Ridgemont, 1-8 on the season and 0-3 in NWCC action, will play at Cory-Rawson on Saturday. The junior varsity is at Ridgedale on Saturday.
