The Ridgemont Junior High girls track and field team captured a share of the Northwest Central Conference track and field title with Waynesfield at the conference meet Thrusday. The Lady Golden Gophers finished with 107 points on the day.
WAYNESFIELD — The Ridgemont junior high girls tied with Waynesfield for a share of the Northwest Central Conference title with 107 points at the NWCC track finals Thursday in Waynesfield.
The Gophers boys took sixth place with 40 points.
Sydney Lingo won the discus (95-2) and was second in the shot put (34-5) to lead the Gophers.
Sara McFadden added a second place in the 100 hurdles (17.58 seconds) and 200 hurdles (32.86 seconds) and was third in the long jump (12-9).
Lili France was second in the high jump (4-2) and Aislinn McCullough was second in the long jump (12-10).
Zach McGue of Ridgemont finished second in the mile run (5:29.53). Daniel Johnson took second in the pole vault (9-6).
