DELPHOS — Delphos St. Johns defeated Kenton in four games 25-15, 25-21, 17-25, 25-16 in non-league volleyball action on Saturday morning.
Kaily Whitaker led the way for the Wildcats, going 24 of 27 attacking with 13 kills. Sam Kuhlman was 37 for 38 ball handling with 13 assists.
The Wildcats tallied 32 kills and had 8 aces as a team.
“I was able to get a number of extra girls in and the underclassman really showed me something which is what we want to see,” Kenton coach Meghan Smith said. “Overall I think it was a good match, but we just fell a little short. We play a tough schedule but we just have to keep pushing and playing hard as a team and eventually the successes will come.”
The Wildcats travel to Van Wert on Thursday.
