Ottawa-Glandorf defeated Kenton in three games 25-15, 25-17, 25-21 in a Western Buckeye League volleyball matchup on Thursday night.
Kaily Whitaker led the way for the Wildcats, going 19 of 21 on the attack with 12 kills. Brooke Bostelman was 12 of 12 attacking with 8 kills and added 14 digs and 3 stuff blocks defensively and Courtney Cook was 6 of 6 attacking with a kill, 7 digs and a block.
“We played very well … The girls came out charged and never gave up,” Kenton coach Meghan Smith said. “We led most of the third game but we weren’t able to tie it down.
“O-G is a very athletic, talented team and like Monday (against Arlington) we fought hard. We are starting to click as a team and that’s great to see finally.”
O-G won the JV match 25-11, 25-9 and the freshman match 25-9, 25-11.
