Wildcats finish with win over Hardin Northern

DOLA — Noah Furbush had four hits including a double and three RBIs and Matt Bahr and Chad Shark had two RBIs each to lead Kenton to a 13-3 win over Hardin Northern in a Hardin County baseball battle on Tuesday afternoon.
Brice Fackler also had four hits including a double for the Wildcats, who scored two runs in the first inning and one more in the second before adding three runs in the fifth, four in the sixth and three in the seventh.
Kenton finishes its season with a 4-20 record.
The Wildcats ended up with 15 hits in the game. Kasey Rawlins had a triple, Travis Downing had two hits and Caleb Halsey, Bahr, Shark and Mason Richendollar all added singles.
Hardin Northern, which ends up with a 2-22 mark, received two hits and an RBI from Ethon Flowers and Reed Poling.
Jacob Gossard and Jacob Lozano added two hits each, while Patrick Stevenson and Jacob Potter both chipped in with singles.

Bahr earned the pitching win, allowing three runs on eight hits and four walks with eight strikeouts in six innings on the hill. Rawlins pitched the seventh inning allowing a single and striking out two batters.
Patrick Stevenson took the loss for the Polar Bears, giving up six runs on 10 hits and a walk with five strikeouts.
Gossard threw the last two innings, allowing seven runs on five hits and three walks while striking out four.
