Home invasion in Alger
The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information regarding a home invasion and robbery.
According to Chief Deputy Col. Ken Hilty, Joshua Hutchinson, 207 E. Belmont St., Lot 20, Alger, returned home from work about midnight Friday night, when he was confronted by an individual at his front door....READ MORE

Teens of the Year
The Kenton Elks Lodge named Joshua Zachman of Ridgemont and Maggie Long of Kenton as Hardin County’s Teenagers of the Year at its annual dinner Sunday evening. Zachman is the son of Dan and Cindy Zachman and Long’s parents are Harry and Amy Long. Each will continue to compete for the state title. Selected as third place winner was Maggie Elwood of Hardin Northern.
Riverdale, HN fare well at L-B Invite

Former Dunkirk fiscal officer accused of taking $145,600
The fiscal officer for the village of Dunkirk was arraigned Tuesday on charges he took nearly $150,000 of the village funds.
Tom Foltz resigned from office last month after failing to appear for work when auditors came to the village to inspect the books. He has been charged with two counts of theft in office and one charge of theft beyond the scope....READ MORE
Riverdale runs away from field at Ram Invitational
McGUFFEY — The Riverdale girls and boys ran away with the Upper Scioto Valley Ram Invitational on Thursday afternoon.
