Ada’s loses despite Fullom’s no-hitter
SPENCERVILLE — Ada’s Amanda Fullom threw a no-hitter on Monday night, but it was still not good enough to earn a win as Spencerville took advantage of her wildness to squeak out a 1-0 win in Northwest Conference softball action.
The host Bearcats plated the only run of the game after two batters reached on walks, advanced on a wild pitch and the lead runner scored on an infield sacrifice.
Fullom walked six batters and struck out two as Ada fell to 3-13 overall and 0-9 in NWC play.
Ada left four runners in scoring position in the game, including two in the first.
