The Hardin Northern senior sprinter finished second in the 100 meter dash at the Tiffin Division III track and field meet on Friday to earn his latest return to the capital city.

LEXINGTON —
One thing was certain after the first day of the regional track meet on Thursday. Jitters did not affect the performance of the Kenton High School track team as the Wildcats showed they were there for more than a token appearance.
The Wildcat 400 relay team of Corey Manns, Andrew Tillman, Dailyn Campbell and Ryan LaVergne easily advanced to Saturday’s finals.
The quartet cruised around the track in their heat in 43.54 seconds as LaVergne leaned across the finish line just ahead of a Tiffin Columbian runner to secure the best prelim time.
Columbian had the second best time of the event with a 43.56.
“They looked good, but we still made a couple of mistakes,” Kenton coach Chuck Downing said of the relay. “We can get a little better.”
Kenton’s Shaylee Sexton also qualified for the finals in the 100 meter dash.
