Hardin Memorial Hospital welcomes the obstetrics and gynecological services of Brian A. Assent, MD to the Hardin Memorial Hospital Specialty Center. Dr. Assent received his medical degree from Medical University of the Americas, St. Kitts and Nevis, West Indies and completed his residency at Aultman Hospital in Canton.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released its new HCAHPS annual summary star ratings for national hospitals and Hardin Memorial has been given a “five star” rating. In Ohio, Hardin Memorial ranked one of ten hospitals to receive this rating.

FOREST — If everything goes according to plans, Forest may soon be the home of one of Ohio’s first medical marijuana factories. The future of the proposed 25,000-square-foot plant lies with a state board which is considering applications from 109 potential cultivators with just 12 to be licensed, said Janet Breneman, co-owner of Green Camp Provisions LLC.
