ADA – Liberty Bancshares, Inc. announced that it has closed on the sale of $13 million of the company’s common and preferred stock in a private offering. The company netted $12.4 million in proceeds that will support organic growth and expansion of the company’s subsidiary Liberty National Bank.

The Hardin County Board of Elections office will be closed on Monday, Oct. 8 for Columbus Day.

The Hardin County Agricultural Society (fair board) postponed its October monthly board meeting because of a lack of quorum as board members work to harvest their crops. The meeting will be rescheduled for a later date to be determined.

DUNKIRK — The Northern Hardin County Fire District in Dunkirk received a donation of a Wag’N 02 Fur Life kit from Allicats and A Lotta Love Pet Rescue during its meeting Monday night. The kit, which was purchased for just under $100, comes with three oxygen masks – small, medium and large – oxygen air tubes and other pet rescue necessities for first responders to use for pets in need, according to the organizations.
