The United Way of Hardin County Board of Directors has announced a permanent suspension of funding to Crossroads Crisis Center. According to President Merleen Barnes, “Initally a temporary suspension was approved August 9.

Nineteen Hardin Leadership 2018 participants will be recognized for completing the eight-session program on Thursday, Oct. 11 at the Elks Lodge Banquet Room, 117 E. Franklin St., Kenton. The 26th Hardin Leadership graduation will begin at 5:30 p.m., with a dinner buffet at 6 p.m.

McGUFFEY — Hardin County and the village of McGuffey are planning to apply for a grant to make improvements in the community. The village is scheduling a meeting to discuss the proposed grant with residents and to gather their ideas for area projects.
