ALGER — The Alger council will meet in special session Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the village offices to discuss the recent inspection report on the water tower.

Nichole Burton has been promoted at Community First Bank, N.A. from assistant cashier to assistant vice president/assistant cashier. In her 16 years with CFB, Burton has worked in many areas of the bank, moving from part- to full-time teller, to head teller, and then to assistant cashier, a position to which she was promoted in 2011.

The Hardin County Republican headquarters, 304 W. Franklin St., Kenton, will be open the following days: April 24, 27 and 30, 4-6 p.m. April 28, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Yard signs and candidate information for the Tuesday, May 8 primary election will be available.
