The testimony of a 13-year-old and of the defendant’s son convinced a Hardin County Common Pleas Court jury to convict a Forest woman on 16 charges, including 11 counts of attempted aggravated arson, late Wednesday afternoon. The jury, made up of nine men and three women, took three hours to return the guilty verdicts against Kimberly Wise of Forest after a second day of testimony.

A Kenton woman was sent to prison for a total of 57 months on three felony counts in a case heard in Hardin County Common Pleas Court.

Nathan A. Stroub, Carey – speeding 47 mph in a 35 mph zone, fined $25.

Jerry Lee Ruth Jr., 150 Harris St., Lot 31, Kenton and Tennessee Amber McCombs, Upper Sandusky.

A Kenton woman was ordered to pay more than $14,000 in restitution after she entered a plea of guilty to one count of identity fraud in a case heard in Hardin County Common Pleas Court. According to court records from Prosecutor Brad Bailey’s office, Jeanann Baum, 980 Meadow Lane, Apt. 10, Kenton, was ordered by Judge Scott Barrett to pay $11,553.55 to Discover to repay fraudulent charges made in 2008 to an account in the estate of Shirley F. Goens.

Mark A. McCullough, 409 E. Patterson St. Apt. B12, Dunkirk – speeding 42 mph in a 25 mph zone, fined $25.

An officer of the Hardin County Common Pleas Court is facing misdemeanor charges of sexual imposition and dereliction of duty. The charges against Terry Price, an adult parole officer from Ada, were filed Thursday in Hardin County Municipal Court by an agent of the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, according to court records.

Three are people were sentenced on drug-related charges recently in the Hardin County Common Pleas Court. According to court records from Prosecutor Brad Bailey’s office, Brian Edward Mitchell, 12680 Ohio 81, Dunkirk, plead guilty to one charge of possession of heroin.
