Hardin County Recorder Brenda Rainsburg released the following property transfers for December:

Danny G. Cunningham, Raymond – speeding 65 mph in a 55 mph zone, fined $15. Robert Jones, 3536 CR 159, Dunkirk – speeding 66 mph in a 55 mph zone, fined $25. Fined $25 for speeding 68 mph in a 55 mph zone were: Ronald E. Pleasant, 13191 TR 184, Kenton; James Alan Greenshields, Wayne, Mich.; Kenneth B. Jones, Lakeview; Andrew D. Comstock, Arlington; and Vince R. Arnett, Dublin.

A Kenton man was sent to prison for six months after he pleaded guilty to one charge of theft from a person in a protected class in a case heard in Hardin County Common Pleas Court. According to court records from Prosecutor Brad Bailey's office, Michael Kevin Jones, 122 N. Market St., Kenton, was also fined $150 by Judge Scott Barrett.

A Mount Victory woman pleaded guilty to multiple counts of money laundering and was sent to prison for five years in a case heard in Hardin County Common Pleas Court.

John James Mather, Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada – speeding 65 mph in a 55 mph zone, fined $15.

In what Hardin County Common Pleas Court Judge Scott Barrett called one of the most calculated crimes he has heard from the bench, Dakota Kleman of Forest was sentenced Thursday to 20 years behind bars. Kleman was convicted in a Dec. 20 jury trial of 14 counts involving stealing from his grandmother which included charges of burglary, grand theft with firearm specifications and safecracking,

A 16-year-old female for speeding 83/70 mph zone, court ordered: Carteens, 60-day license suspension with work privileges and fined $15. A 16-year-old female for failure to control, court ordered: Carteens, 30-day license and fined $35.

The Veterans’ Service Office announces that there will be VA representatives from the Columbus VA Hospital in the Hardin County Courthouse on Jan. 15. They will have a table set up on the first floor from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will be assisting eligible veterans with VA health care enrollment.
