The Hardin County Veterans Service Commission distributed 93 vouchers for a total of $5,654.40 during November. Of that amount, 19 were issued for utility bills and other expenses costing $3,544.40. The remaining 74 vouchers were used for food needs and totaled $2,110.

An Upper Sandusky man was sent to prison for a year after he pleaded guilty to a drug charge in a case heard in Hardin County Common Pleas Court. According to court records from Prosecutor Brad Bailey's office, Jeffrey Edwin Snider was found guilty of possession of heroin.

Candidates for judge of Hardin County Municipal Court and municipal offices in Kenton and Ada will have until the end of business hours on Feb. 6, 2018 to file petitions to appear on the May 7 ballot, said Sandra Bookmyer, director of the Hardin County Board of Elections.

A 17-year-old male for speeding 74/55 mph zone, court ordered: 30-day license suspension and fined $32. A 16-year-old male for speeding 76/55 mph zone, court ordered: carteens, 30-day license and fined $38.

A Mount Victory man was sent to prison for eight years after being found guilty of a felonious assault charge in a case heard in Hardin County Common Pleas Court. According to court records from Prosecutor Brad Bailey's office, Stephen Arthur Beightler, last known address 225 N. Main St., Mount Victory, was found guilty in a jury trial after 20 minutes of deliberations.
