LSO to present final concert of the season

LIMA — Crafton Beck will lead the Lima Symphony Orchestra and Chorus in LSO’s final concert of the season, “Music is Life” on Saturday, April 14 at 7:30 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center. Presenting Mussorgky’s iconic and beloved “Pictures at an Exhibition” as well as Smetana’s hauntingly beautiful “The Mouldau,” this performance connects pieces that are truly a reflection of the resilience and unceasing strength of the human spirit.

Riley Creek Festival at BU

BLUFFTON — Bluffton University will host the annual Riley Creek Festival from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, April 14 in the Sommer Center. Free and open to the public, the festival will feature block-party-style events including family-friendly inflatables, games and other activities.

Spring Fling concert at BU

BLUFFTON —Bluffton University’s Camerata Singers, University Chorale, Concert Band and Jazz Ensemble will perform during the Spring Fling concert at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 22 in Yoder Recital Hall. Camerata will sing arrangements of familiar songs such as “Sing” from Sesame Street and “Yesterday” by the Beatles.

ONU Gospel Ensemble to perform

ADA -- The Ohio Northern University Gospel Ensemble will present its annual spring concert at 4 p.m. on April 8 in the McIntosh Center Ballroom at ONU. The event is free and open to the public. Guest conductors for this year’s concert includes former Gospel Ensemble members who have shared their talents in various music ministries.
