Hello to everyone from Gloria’s Mom’s kitchen! I’m sitting here at our kitchen table with a cup of coffee while watching snowflakes drift down lazily. Last winter I had the privilege of seeing several pictures of snowflakes through a microscope view. Wow!

Christina and Jon Cross of Kenton are parents of a 9-pound, 8-ounce, 22-inch boy, Connor James, born at 2:42 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015 at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay. Grandparents are Dr. Charles and Mary Ann Quaglieri of Reno, Nev., Judy Cross of Kenton and the late Jerry Cross Sr. The infant is joined at home by a brother, Carson.

It was a great year for Scouting for the Boy Scouts of America in Mount Victory. As the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) celebrated its 105th anniversary, community Scout groups are abuzz with Scouting activities, commemorating the founding of the movement.

The American Red Cross Kenton Community Blood Drive was held Feb. 23 at the First Baptist Church, County Road 175, Kenton, and collected 43 productive units. A total of 49 donors signed in.

The Kenton Band Boosters met Monday March 6, 2015 at 6 p.m. in the Kenton High School library. In attendance were: President Dana Oates, Treasurer Duane Hamilton; Band Director Tim Davis, Florida Trip Coordinator Judy Donnal, Flag Advisor Krystal Strahm and parent representatives Colleen Lautar and Kristen Hamilton.

Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Kenton extends an open invitation to anyone who has someone in their life that is presently incarcerated to attend its weekly informal meeting called S.O.L.O. (Supporting Our Loved Ones).
